Rainbow Dickerson

Rainbow recently completed an Off-Broadway run of Manahatta at The Public Theatre and is currently enjoying festival season with the short film, The River, which she also Produced. Rainbow received the TIFF Rising Star Award for her work in the feature, BEANS, for which she also received the Vancouver Film Critics Best Supporting Actress Award, and a Quebec Cinema Revelation of the Year nomination. An alumna of the ABC Disney Discovers Program, she can currently be seen in Netflix’s live-action, Avatar: The Last Airbender. Other selected screen credits include Gone, Chicago Fire, and Banshee. Rainbow trained in London and New York City, and has performed on Broadway and at many of the country’s top Regional Theatres; including the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, American Repertory Theatre, Yale Repertory, Mixed Blood Theatre, Latino Theatre Company, Native Voices, and many others. Dickerson also trained with LA Stunts, is certified by the SAFD and BASSC, is a life-long equestrian, and dabbles in archery, boxing, and other sports. Rainbow currently resides on unceded Tongva/Gabrieleno territory, but hails from what is today the Virginia/Maryland/DC region and from Nonthaburi, Thailand. Rainbow is first generation Thai-American, Rappahannock, and unknown European descent. If she didn’t become an actor, chances are Rainbow would have become an olympic show jumper, race car driver, farmer, or noetic scientist. Spirituality and Community is deeply important to her and in 2017 she was given the name Deep Looking Of The Heart in a ceremony in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh at the Magnolia Grove Monastery. Besides career goals, Rainbow has dreams of buying and gifting back ancestral lands to North Eastern Woodland Tribes and owning her own chateau in the Lyon region of France, lovingly renovating and sharing it with others. If not on stage or set, you might find her on a horse or motorcycle, on a long Sunday drive without a map, savoring a beautiful meal, crafting something by hand, or enjoying the great outdoors in some way or another. She supports quality over quantity, and encourages connection to Self and Spirit. Rainbow is represented by Liberman Zerman Management.
