Show Prefaces

Offering Complimentary Theater Tickets and Show Prefaces to Students and Educators in Southern Oregon and Northern California

Live theater can be a transformative experience for younger audiences. It offers a rich blend of entertainment, education, and personal growth, helping them develop empathy, critical thinking skills, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts while providing opportunities for self-expression and creativity. Through educational outreach, RTC seeks to encourage students to attend live theater by offering complimentary tickets to students and teachers from high schools and colleges in Jackson, Josephine, and Klamath Counties in Oregon and Siskiyou County in California. We offer informative prefaces before select shows (open to the public). Read more about our program.

Tyrone Wilson Education Director

Kathleen Woods Educator

The performance on Saturday was superb. I also appreciated the preface. I think it was quite helpful to not only the students, but to us. The educator was great. I loved the car ride home—hearing the students' excitement over what they had just seen. Thanks to you and the Rogue Theater Company Team! ~Alma Rosa Alvarez, Professor, Southern Oregon University
