Robynn Rodriguez

Robynn Rodriguez is thrilled to be in Ashland at Rogue Theater Company, working with dear friends and colleagues on Chapatti. Robynn received her MFA in Acting from the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. For 22 seasons, she was a member of the resident acting company at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, where she appeared in over 40 productions. Robynn's acting work includes playing powerful women in Shakespeare, Chekhov, Ibsen, Shaw, Euripides, and Aeschylus. Her work in contemporary plays has been equally prolific. In addition to OSF, Robynn’s work has been seen at the Public Theatre, Guthrie Theater, Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Denver Center Theatre Company, Intiman Theatre, Berkeley Repertory Theatre, The Shakespeare Theatre, La Jolla Playhouse, and many others. Internationally, Robynn represented OSF at the prestigious 43rd Annual Festival des Jeux du Théâtre in Sarlat, France. In the UK, she appeared in the OSF/Berkeley Rep production of Continental Divide, written by acclaimed British playwright, David Edgar, at The Barbican (London) and Birmingham Rep. In 2013, Robynn made her professional directorial debut at the Utah Shakespeare Festival, where she has directed Shakespeare's King John, The Two Gentlemen of Verona and As You Like It. She has directed at American Players Theatre, University of Texas, Austin, Pacific Conservatory Theatre, West Virginia University and Dartmouth College. Robynn’s work as a director has been a welcome and challenging extension of her work as an actor. robynnrodriguez.com
